Good evening and welcome to this weeks edition of BULLieve. Written for the fans by the fans by Thomas Fynn.
We start with the news that Francis Cummins and his assistant Lee st Hillaire have been removed from there positions as coaches after the defeat against Salford yesterday. Francis originally signed a 3 year deal in September 2012 but the board have made a decision stating that "the club needs a new direction". Cummins originally joined the bulls as assistant to Mick potter while st Hillaire spent 8 years at the club. According to the bulls the lookout for a replacement is now underway, in the meantime captain Matt diskin has agreed to act as player coach in the upcoming game against Hull KR under the guidance of managing director Steve ferres from us all at BULLieve we wish Francis and Lee all the best in there future, and good luck to Matt diskin for Fridays game. Turning our attentions to the Salford game was not the result or performance expected the devils blew the bulls away being 24-0 up after just 15 minutes with Rangi chase running the show, Salford ran thru the bulls with ease even Francis stated in the post match interview that there was a lack of desire and nothing to do with tactics. This was a match that the bulls simply had to win to give us any hope of survival, it's not the first game though where the bulls have been blown away in the opening quarter Catalan, is one of many this season. Now the bulls are really staring relegation in the face now and looking at a spell in the championship unless a minor miracle occurs. Salford have a 9 point cushion over the bulls with now only 11 rounds remaining certainly an uphill task for who ever takes the coaching job over. Bradford did have there say in the game but came too little too late with kear, Olbison, O brien scoring for bradford on a woefull afternoon for the bulls without dwelling on the game too much the final score told the story again 46-18.
As were also aware the points appeal was not successful either and has been upheld which every supporter feels this was just another nail in the coffin for bradford. But should the bulls be relegated can we rebuild and come back as the force that we once were. I suppose were just gonna have to wait and see should we go down we will be visiting Leigh, featherstone, and our derby will be at cougar park next season but can we BULLieve for a miracle and pray that it won't come to this as an ardent fan myself who will follow them no matter what I'm almost resigned to the fact that next year won't be in super league. But even the rhinos fans I know don't want to lose bradford from super league. Marc green has stated that he's in for the long haul well let's hope he's true to his word and he does what he's said but only time will tell on this. Bulls rookie Sam bates has been handed a 2 year full time contract his idol Sam burgess and is hoping to emulate the nrl star at some point in his career good luck Sam from us all let's hope we can keep hold if this promising young talent.
